FOUR MEN ARRESTED ON WARRANTS, DRUG CHARGES
(8/16/2006) NEW HAVEN – Members of the New Haven Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit made arrested four individuals yesterday at locations throughout the city.
In the area of Dover and Front streets, Raymond Lowery, 19, of 164 Quinnipiac Avenue, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance within 1500 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school, and criminal trespass in the third degree. Police seized $709 and three bags of marijuana.
Dtwaine Gomes, 25, of 6 Adam Clayton Powell Drive, was arrested in the area of Winchester Avenue and Starr Street. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under suspension and was served with two outstanding warrants, one for assault in the third degree and breach of peace and the second for failure to appear in the second degree.
At 715 Dixwell Avenue, William Outlaw, 18, of 37 Elizabeth Street, was arrested and charged with interfering with police, criminal trespass in the third degree and carrying a pistol without a permit. Police seized an Interarms 9-mm. semi-automatic pistol.
Marquese Wicker, 25, of 144 Plymouth Street, was arrested in the area of 235 Shelton Avenue, and served with eight outstanding warrants on the following charges: interfering with police and escape from custody; assault in the second degree, risk of injury, reckless endangerment, violation of probation and failure to appear in the first degree; breach of peace in the second degree and failure to appear in the second degree; failure to appear in the first degree and narcotics charges; sexual assault in the fourth degree, risk of injury, breach of peace in the second degree and failure to appear in the first degree; threatening in the second degree, harassment in the second degree and assault in the third degree; operating under suspension and speeding; and possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance within 1500 feet of a school. In addition, he was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics within 1500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school, criminal impersonation and interfering with an officer.
